We were delighted to hear that Taunton Chamber member Lorraine Stamp of You’ll Know When You Get There has now launched a book, titled Hare’s Journey of a Thousand Miles. Below, Lorraine tells us more about the book
About the book
Life coaching with a twist; identify the characters in your life story and shape the narrative to get the happy ending you deserve.
Ever found yourself reading a book or watching a film, yelling in your head because the lead character can’t see the baddie? How different would your own life story be if you could spot the heroes and villains and surround yourself with just the goodies? This book will help you identify the part people are playing in your life, and how to cut loose those that hinder your happiness.
These are some of the quotes from the characters in the story.
“I can do this,” she whispered to no-one in particular, “Why not me?”
“Give it up, Hare. You’re not all that. Look at you – who’d listen to you? Leave it to an animal that’s worth something.”
“We are led to believe that there comes a point in all our lives when everything that happens to us is down to fate. That is simply not true. We are always in control of our own lives, and we alone make the decisions.”
Testimonial from one of my reviewers
“To portray the characters as animals is pure genius. Such a great message and is delivered beautifully whilst protecting the special people involved. This story makes you think about the bigger picture and that we are all on a journey, albeit in different directions and at different speeds”. Ashley Leeds – The 15-minute LinkedIn guy
Snippet from the foreword by Dr Lynda Shaw
In short, you are about to read a fable that we can all relate to. As the words unfold, I wager that you will feel what it is like to be Hare, and the primary message will become clear to the point of real understanding, like a realisation that is relevant to you, no matter where you are at the moment.
