Somerset West & Taunton Council and the Job Centres of Somerset have teamed up with Somerset Jobs to bring another bumper Jobs Fair to Taunton this month.
The event will be held at Somerset County Cricket Club in the Colin Atkinson pavilion on Wednesday September 28th from 10.30 to 4pm. The event is free of charge to attendees. Over 50 exhibitors are booked for the day to showcase their vacancies and it’s a fantastic chance to speak directly with employers.
A selection of employment support organisations will also be available on the day such as the Community Employment Hubs, Step up Somerset and the National Careers Service.
Somerset Jobs director, Stu Wright commented; “I’m delighted to have the support of the council and job centres to run the event. It really is a brilliant opportunity to meet and chat with employers about their exciting vacancies that are available and get a feel of things. Helping people explore new opportunities to get a foot on the ladder, to find work and to improve their lives is something I’m passionate about”.
“Our last event was a great success with some very positive feedback from both job hunters and recruiters and this event will build on from that. It’s such an unusual time in the world of recruitment currently, many people are looking for different jobs and flexible working arrangements, this event will showcase the best of what is out there in the local jobs market, with some of the area’s best loved employers.”
Some of the exhibitors include Avon and Somerset Police, Hinkley Point, Visit Somerset and Queens College.
