Portt & Co become carbon neutral
Taunton-based accountancy firm, Portt & Co, have taken positive steps towards a greener future by becoming carbon neutral.
By signing up to Bristol company, Ecologi, Portt & Co offset their carbon emissions by planting trees and investing in climate projects across the world. The climate projects are certified at the highest level by Gold Standard, who quantify, certify and maximise positive outcomes in projects in environmental markets.
Portt & Co’s commitment includes their employees, which makes the team a Climate Positive Workforce and offsets their carbon footprint for all work and personal activities.
Speaking on their positive change, Portt & Co said; “We’re passionate about creating a better future for everyone, which means taking responsibility for the environment. Becoming carbon neutral was not only important for us, but also for our clients, who know that by working with us they are helping to raise awareness of climate crisis.”
A benefit of joining Ecologi is that Portt & Co have their own forest which you’re able to view online. The virtual forest details exactly where trees have been planted as part of Portt & Co’s commitment. There are currently 240 trees in the Portt & Co forest which support projects such as reforestation in Madagascar.
