The Bridge’ community coffee shop is opening at 2 Bridge Street, Taunton on this Saturday 9th October 2021 from 3-7pm with tastings, live music.
Following the launch the coffee shop will be open Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 5:30pm, with regular events.
Ian Howlett the manager says ‘for a number of years I’ve wanted to open a community coffee shop that sells excellent cake, quality coffee and a space for the community to belong and be a listening ear. The Bridge will be a place that is a bridge between communities talking together over coffee and cake. We’re not in this to make lots of money but here to serve the people of Taunton following this tough 18 months. Over the next few months we’ll have lots of different events as well as opening the coffee shop Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 5:30pm. I’d like to extend a warm invitation to everyone to come to the launch day and pop in to say hello over the next few weeks’
