The training is held over three sessions
Mental Health Awareness (1) Mon 13th 10.00-12.30
Mental Health Awareness (2) Mon 13th 1.00-3.30
Handling sensitive conversations Tues 14th 10.00-12.30
Employers have a responsibility to be proactive in developing positive mental health pathways. This should include training line managers to spot the early warning signs of mental health and provide them with the skills and confidence needed to intervene and have the supportive conversations necessary.
Training is part of the answer but should support an organisational culture of employee wellbeing. This training aims to give line managers mental health awareness, essential communication skills to handle difficult conversations, and a broader understanding of how to promote a culture of wellbeing.
Here is some feedback from our last few courses:
94% of delegates either agreed or strongly agreed that the training has increased their confidence in supporting someone who is mentally unwell at work.
100% of delegates either agreed or strongly agreed that they would recommend this training to others.
” I felt both trainers really knew their stuff. They both made sure everyone was involved and conscious we all felt we were being included. This was my first ever zoom training/meeting and I thought it was brilliant. They were both prepared and had back up plans just in case anything went wrong. Whilst some information was familiar it’s really good to have an open conversation about scenarios as you can still gain extra tools and information. I felt Becky went over and above her training by providing me with additional information which she didn’t have to do. I would recommend this training and have asked HR if I can attend any future sessions by these hosts. Thank you “
“I thoroughly enjoyed all parts of the course, Becky and Sharon’s presentation came across as clear and interesting, especially impressive under the difficult circumstances. I feel much more confident now that I can use what I’ve learnt in the workplace and improve greatly on how we deal with mental health in the future. “
“An excellent course which worked well via Zoom. Despite the remote delivery I felt able to develop a rapport with both trainers and the other delegates. It was pitched well for an awareness course but I’m now keen to get into more detail on some of the subject matter. Excellent value for money and materials were of a very good quality and received in good time. “
“Excellent training – thank you lots of great ideas and things to reflect on. “ Duncan Harvey Sedgemoor District Council
“Really enjoyed the format and delivery, interactive, relevant and will assist in role Tara Gale“ WPA
“Excellent course I thought it worked well together to cover mental well-being in the morning and HR in the afternoon. I am more confident now to talk to colleagues also good to get further advice thank you both very much.” Tiny Gliddon SWAMAS
