Recently, Year 2 Extended Diploma Business students enjoyed an informative talk from Bethan Turner, Membership and Events Manager at Taunton Chamber of Commerce.
Bethan discussed the importance of networking in business and how Taunton Chamber are able to assist in sharing best practice, supporting local businesses through identifying how to foster new opportunities and developments in E-commerce and providing practical support and workshops.
Students said the talk helped them understand more about what support is available and the importance and opportunities that networking can have on business decisions. Sharon Williams, Course Manager of Vocational Business would like to thank Bethan for her time and the interesting talk.
Bethan commented saying “At the Taunton Chamber we are always keen to support our education partners to bring real-world insight to the classroom and to contribute to the up-skilling of the workforce of the future.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to speak to students about how we support individual local companies and foster closer relationships across the business community through events, representation and workshops. We are looking forward to returning to Huish in the new year for both the Vocational Business Careers Fair and the Students Prize Giving event”
