Who are we?
We are part of the Taunton Chamber of Commerce, directly aimed at young professionals in Taunton. The Taunton Young Chamber is designed to provide a platform for young professionals and students to access resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities that will help them advance their careers and encourage entrepreneurs and future leaders.
What do we do?
We organise informal social events at local venues for people to get to know each other in a more relaxed environment. We want to encourage those who are young and/or new to business in the Taunton area to take their first steps to take an active role in their business community.
We hope that in the future the Taunton Young Chamber will have the opportunity to influence the plans for Taunton going forward. We are the future partners, managers and business owners of Taunton!
Why should you encourage your junior staff to join?
Networking can sometimes be intimidating, particularly when first starting out in your career. You must enter a room full of strangers, many more experienced and knowledgeable than you, and it can be difficult to know where to start or what to say! Our group aims to give young people the opportunity to grow their networks with people who are at similar stages in their careers.
