I’m writing to share something close to my heart. As you may know, for the past 5 years I have been working with the global Charter for Compassion and managed to get both Taunton Town and Glastonbury Town to sign the Charter. Bridgwater are now expressing interest!
I would like to invite you to be part of its unfolding. I have been asked to launch Compassionate UK, a new not-for-profit organisation guided by the principles of the global Charter for Compassion. That not-for-profit organisation is now established and ready to roll out. Our vision is simple and bold: a more compassionate nation, where kindness becomes culture and empathy becomes practice—in every council, workplace, school, and community.
We believe compassion is more than a virtue. It’s a skill. A commitment. A collective act of choosing care in a world that sorely needs it. Our launch goal is to raise £20,000, and we’re doing this through a crowdfunding campaign powered by community, connection, and hope.

Your support will help us:
Create a UK-specific Charter for Compassion website
- Train and support regional representatives across all four nations
- Build resources and toolkits for councils, schools, and organisations
- Host events, workshops, and outreach projects
- Cover essential start-up costs, admin, and legal foundations
This is an entirely volunteer-led effort. Every penny goes directly into rippling compassion outward—amplifying stories, enabling meaningful change, and planting seeds of empathy in the soil of everyday life.
So, if this vision resonates, I invite you:
- Donate if you’re able
- Share the campaign with your networks
- Join the movement in whatever way feels right
Together, we can craft a culture where “humaning well” becomes our norm—not our exception.
With warmth, thanks, and boundless belief in what we can build
