Simon Havens celebrates 25 years with Greenslade Taylor Hunt this month.
Simon joined the firm in October 2000 and has worked for the property partnership throughout its branch network in Sherborne, Bridgwater, Wells and Yeovil.
He is a member of National Association of Estate Agents and the Association of Lettings Agents. Both organisations are committed to driving up standards in the property industry.
He became a Partner at GTH in 2005 and oversaw the opening of a new office in the Cathedral city of Wells in 2012.
Simon is now the Head of Residential Sales for GTH and the firm’s current Chairman.
He has seen the firm evolve over the past 25 years and embrace new technology.
Simon started his career as a trainee negotiator back in 1988 with a small independent firm in Taunton, rising through the ranks with numerous competitors until joining GTH in 2000.
“I didn’t dream of going anywhere else and then you get to Chairman. It’s a real honour,” said Simon.
The firm now has 17 offices across Somerset, Devon and Dorset, covering a range of disciplines – estate agency, residential lettings, commercial, livestock markets, agriculture, professional services and an antiques saleroom.
“GTH is widely recognised as one of the most prolific firms of property professionals in the West Country, offering a diverse and specialist range of services,” said Simon.
Away from work he is a passionate supporter of Bath Rugby and a keen golfer.
