Apple FM Taunton, is Taunton’s original Community Radio Station, starting back in 1969 as Taunton’s Hospital Radio before moving to Apple AM in 2004 and then Apple FM in 2013 the station has changed, adapted and moved with the times over the 50 plus years it’s been running.
Staffed entirely by volunteers the station broadcasts 24 hours a day and has a wide and varied selection of shows through the week, from Country to Dance Music, Chart to Classic tracks there is a show to meet anyone’s musical tastes.
Apple FM has new presenters and volunteers join the station every month and always welcomes anyone who feels they could improve any aspect of the station. Karen Cave join the station earlier this year and already she is presenting her own show and now improving our website.
Today see the launch of the new look Apple FM website https://www.applefm.co.uk/ bringing new life to a site that details everything that goes on at the station. It has also allowed us to focus on what is important to the station, it’s music.

It’s been brought bang up to date through Karen’s hard work, reflecting our image, colour scheme, our love for Taunton Deane and our great voluntary team. With the changes we’ve created a simpler to use platform, where listeners listen both live and again, plus read the latest information important to both them and the Taunton Deane area. The website will change every time you look at it, with something new to interest all, so keep your eyes peeled…!
