Albert Goodman wins workplace accreditation
Albert Goodman chartered accountants, tax consultants and financial planners have just been awarded a Best Companies 1 Star Accreditation, for the second consecutive year. Best Companies are the industry standard for workplace engagement. The accreditation is a significant achievement, assessed against eight categories, and recognises that Albert Goodman takes workplace engagement seriously, providing ‘very good’ levels.
The 280+ strong firm is committed to providing good levels of employee engagement, and provides its staff with a flexible working offering and the ability to purchase an additional 3 weeks of holiday.
Since the survey, Albert Goodman has relocated its Taunton, Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea employees to contemporary, open-plan offices and look forward to seeing the positive effects this has on engagement over the next year.
Simon Irvin, Head of Human Resources, commented on the success: “I am really pleased that we have been accredited by Best Companies for the second year running. This result is a credit to all of the partners, management and staff who work so well together, and continue throughout the year to provide feedback on what we do well and where we can still improve. By listening to the feedback over the past few years, we have further enhanced what was already a great flexible working offering and have also made great strides on wellbeing for all.”
Richard Bugler, Managing Partner of Albert Goodman, added: “We are delighted to have once again received a 1 Star accreditation from Best Companies. Our people are our business and we are constantly looking at ways to improve our working environment and staff engagement. I firmly believe that a happy, healthy and motivated workforce is best placed to deliver an excellent service to our clients.”
Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate Albert Goodman on your achievement. Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Albert Goodman have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
