Academy ICT – Strategic, future-focused ICT support tailored for Schools, Trusts, and Colleges across Somerset, Devon, Bristol, and Bath.
We are delighted to offer Price Neutrality to Schools, Trusts, Federations, and Colleges across Somerset, Devon, Bristol, and Bath.
Price Neutrality is simple. For every £1 million that Academy ICT receives in orders from our School, Trust, and College partners here in the South West, we arrange an equivalent amount, or more, in fully funded programmes, rebates, and strategic initiatives for the wider education community.
You do not need to be a customer to access this funding.
This is what makes the programme unique. When one establishment purchases through us, the benefit extends across the entire region.
Whether you are digitally upskilling staff, exploring AI, shaping a long-term digital strategy, or implementing new systems, we are here to guide you towards a Price Neutral ICT strategy that delivers unsurpassable, and never seen before, very real measurable value.
How Price Neutrality Was Created
Price Neutrality did not appear overnight. It developed over 12 months of listening to Education across the Southwest. During that time, we spoke with Schools, Trusts, and Colleges. The message was consistent.
- Budgets were tight.
- ICT returns were falling.
- Expectations were increasing.
At the same time, staff needed support to close digital skills gaps. Students needed better outcomes. Schools needed clearer direction.
The Challenge Schools Were Facing
Many schools told us they were buying ICT without clear guidance. In some cases, they were unsure whether the investment was necessary at all. As a result, spending often felt reactive rather than strategic. Something needed to change.
Our First Steps in 2025
In early 2025, we delivered ICT planning sessions. We also hosted regional roadshow events. Although attendance was positive, these initiatives did not address the core issue. Next, we signposted a small number of schools to existing funding opportunities. This helped some establishments. However, it did not create long-term impact. Simply put, it was not enough.
New Term Funding Offer
In October 2025, we contacted 149 local schools in Taunton, Bridgwater, and Weston. We offered access to additional funding support. Our founder and Managing Director even hand delivered the letters himself. Only 20 schools applied. That left 129 without support. Meanwhile, around 1,350 establishments across the wider region were not contacted at all. Clearly, a broader and more sustainable solution was required.
The Question That Changed Everything
In November, one school leader asked us a direct question: “What’s in it for you? Why are you doing this?” It was a fair question and we refined our messaging.
Within a week, the concept of Price Neutrality was formed.
What Price Neutrality Delivers
Since then, we have worked closely with our supply chain. Together, we developed a structured £1 for £1 match model to allow Price Neutrality to become a very real concept by 2030.
In addition, we created detailed guidance covering:
- Funding access for staff CPD
- Hardware rebate opportunities
- Flexible digital initiatives
- Sustainability programmes
- Work experience placements
Importantly, this model is designed to benefit every education establishment, not just a few.
A New Opportunity for the Southwest
Now, the opportunity sits with the people its designed to help. The Schools, Trusts, Federations, and Colleges across Somerset, Devon, Bristol, and Bath.
Will the region support a unique model that strengthens ICT investment while protecting budgets? Academy ICT are a Price Neutral EdTech Leader in the Southwest. We created the concept after all.
